If you were to ask me what the invention of the century was, without blinking an eye I’d tell you it was the Internet. It is the most significant and influential foundation for mankind in my opinion. The Internet has completely revolutionized the world and brought people closer to each other than ever before. The introduction of powerful mobile devices combined with the influence of the Internet has not only changed the way we do business, but also the way we conduct our everyday lives. Just imagine services the population at large use and what we currently offer our customers. Think if that would be possible if not for the Internet? With the Dublin web summit around the corner, what better topic for my next blog other than writing about “Wearable Technology”.  Forbes asserts, the year 2014 as “The Year of Wearable Technology”. With companies like Google, Samsung, and Sony, all researching and marketing and smaller boutique manufacturers entering the wearable technology space, the battle is truly under way.  We are now familiar with the power of mobile computing devices and this is taking a new direction – integrating with bodily-worn devices. This is going to revolutionize the way we work, play, and socialize.  Do I need wearable technology or do I not is the question most of us are pondering over.
